We road tripped to Toronto this past weekend for Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving falls on the second Monday in October). Half the time we were eating large meals with family – from turkey to dim sum to Filipino noodles. The other half we spent walking around Queen Street West/Parkdale neighbourhoods. My childhood dentist is in this area and I’m always surprised by how much it’s changed (gentrified? developed?) over the years each time I come back.
Here’s a few photo highlights: (1) driving into downtown Toronto on the Gardiner Expressway; (2) boarding the TTC streetcar; (3) potential new hangout on Queen St. W.; (4) Monday brunch, a family tradition, just because Sunday Thanksgiving dinner wasn’t enough; (4) beers at Bellwoods Brewery; (5) pumpkin patch on Roncesvalles Ave.
